Our funding projects 2025

In July, the first of our twelve new projects launched Allianz Foundation’s current funding program. In a time of democratic backsliding, climate emergencies, and social fragmentation, we are specifically supporting projects that go beyond conventional paths and offer innovative solutions to pressing societal and ecological issues. Find out more about the funded projects here.

This season’s selected projects not only respond to the crises of our time but also create new narratives and infrastructures for hope and resilience. We sought ideas that drive systemic change and improve living conditions for future generations. Rather than isolated interventions, our call focused on initiatives that shift structures, narratives, and practices in society. The chosen projects demonstrate a clear vision for long-term impact and align with the Foundation’s mission to foster just, resilient societies and a climate-neutral future.

The Call

Every selected project responds to global challenges with local action. They are rooted in their communities while fostering trans-local collaboration. The Foundation values initiatives that are inclusive and participatory, especially those led by or involving marginalized groups, women, and youth. We also looked for resource-conscious practices and climate-friendly strategies.
