The goal is to start the transition to a future-oriented, resource-efficient society and make the transformation towards climate neutrality by 2050 socially just and economically successful.

The European Climate Hub’s partners from civil society promote climate protection by pushing concrete change on the ground, strengthening progressive voices for transformation and forging new, European alliances.

The European Climate Hub is a joint initiative of the Allianz Foundation and the Climate Imperative Foundation. It is strategically developed and led by Dr. Anna Müller-Debus and Alexander Reitzenstein.

Dr. Anna Müller-Debus is Director of European Climate Hub. She is also Director of the Climate Imperative Foundation’s EU initiative. She comes from EY, where she led the Corporate Social Responsibility & Climate Strategy division. She was previously responsible for strategic development at the Stiftung Mercator and the European Climate Foundation (ECF).

Alexander Reitzenstein is Program Manager of the European Climate Hub. He was most recently Project Manager for Climate Protection at the German Council for Sustainable Development and previously worked as Senior Policy Advisor for the energy and climate policy Think Tank E3G, and also worked as a strategy consultant.
