The Polling Booth of the Future: Now available for rent

Democracy thrives on dialogue - and this is exactly what our interactive Polling Booth of the Future aims to foster. This mobile installation encourages people to engage in conversations, exchange ideas and explore new perspectives. It can now be rented out for free.

What is the Polling Booth of the Future?

The installation is designed like a three-wheeled bicycle, featuring a large yellow parasol, microphones, and three monitors. The striking parasol makes the Polling Booth highly visible—an ideal focal point for discussions and interactions.

What’s the story of the Polling Booth of the Future?

Designed and created by artist Thor McIntyre-Burnie, this mobile installation was developed in collaboration with former Allianz Foundation Fellow Love Ssega. Inspired by his artistic activism, McIntyre-Burnie envisioned the Polling Booth of the Future as an interactive space for dialogue and exchange. It enables participants to cast their vote, reflect on their ideas of democracy and discuss a common future. The Polling Booth of the Future aims to capture our collective hopes, aspirations, and dreams while encouraging us to embrace both shared perspectives and differing opinions.

How Can the Polling Booth of the Future Be Used?

Organizations can use the Polling Booth to obtain opinion polls, accompany studies or present their fields of activity. The three monitors can also be used as interactive touchpads and enable the individual design of content. Thus it offers a wide range of possibilities, in example:

  • Usage at indoor events or in public spaces
  • Discussion forum for socio-political topics
  • Information desk for initiatives and organizations
